A modern take on a classic band. This orange and green band ring, designed by Rudy Santayana in collaboration with Jessica Cristobal, features two rows of vibrant orange and green cubic zirconia stones divided into a striking half-and-half design. Crafted in gold vermeil, this colorful band makes a statement worn solo or stacked with your favorite rings.
Why choose Gold Vermeil? Designed as a budget-friendly alternative, our gold vermeil styles are crafted with 14kt solid gold (of at least 2.5 microns) layered on top of 925 sterling silver. The finish is 5X thicker than the average gold plating making it far more durable. With proper care, Gold Vermeil is long lasting, making it a smart and stylish choice.
Why is Gold Vermeil superior to Gold Plated? Gold Vermeil, also known as "silver gilt", refers to high quality, pure sterling silver that is plated with a thick layer of gold. In order to be considered as true vermeil jewelry in the US, it has to meet certain qualifications like being at least 2.5 microns thick of 10kt gold or higher. Gold plated jewelry is a brass, copper, or other low-end metal electroplated with a layer of gold. Usually less expensive than vermeil, and does not require any minimum carat weight or thickness.
How to Care for Gold Vermeil: To ensure the longevity of Gold Vermeil, we recommend you limit its exposure to moisture, water & chemicals. Store your Gold Vermeil pieces in your "Rudy Santayana" pouch. This will help preserve the gold coating and prevent tarnishing.
